Meet your tutor - Nick Rubin, PhD
As a high school teacher, college professor, tutor, and athletic coach, my primary aim and greatest joy has been guiding students to peak learning and achievement outcomes. Whether helping with coursework, papers, or standardized tests, I combine pedagogical expertise with contagious enthusiasm, sparking students’ thinking, building their confidence, and fostering their success. I look forward to helping you attain your goals!
Nick has over twenty-five years of wide-ranging experience teaching at the secondary and college levels, with 15+ years at the University of Virginia, including UVA’s Writing and Rhetoric Program.
His academic writing has appeared in peer-reviewed journals, anthologies, and encyclopedias, while his essays and criticism have appeared in publications from C-ville Weekly to The New York Times.
